Steven Flint has been fishing, observing and learning a bit from Nature for over 33 years. He has successfully guided anglers for trout in Colorado, bass, sunfish, catfish and carp in Ohio, and for smallmouth bass, plus walleye and northern pike in eastern Canada and in upstate New York. After traveling and experiencing many watersheds across North America and eastern Canada Steven now resides in the Adirondack Park of upstate New York.

"I specialize in light tackle angling & jig fishing for smallmouth bass. Whether lake, pond, river, stream or creek, I will personally share with you my knowledge from thousands of hours afield pursuing this great fish."

"Physical and mental fishing skills are important and I strive to teach the best casting, presentation and location techniques for a variety of conditions. Equally important, if not more so, is a sound biological understanding of the seasonal movements and behavioral attributes of your target fish species. It would be a privilege for me to share with you and your children what I've learned from Mother Nature over the years."

Beyond guiding fishing guests and clients, Steven works for the Adirondack Nature Conservancy's Invasive Plant Species Project. He is a former River Steward and Watershed Protection Manager. A former employee of the Ohio Department of Natural Resources' Scenic Rivers Division, he has also worked with Ohio EPA's Ecological Assessment Unit. As a Naturalist, he has taught in-stream, freshwater ecology sessions to countless adults & children.

"Understanding the wonderful & exciting things going on down there under the surface of the water is the first step towards becoming a more complete and confident angler."

Steven has written and contributed thoughtful articles to various fishing and outdoor magazines, has hosted promotional video episodes for the angling industry, and has been a guest on nationally syndicated outdoor shows for PBS television.
